Why cost per mg is the number that matters

A £25 vial is not automatically cheaper than a £40 one. If the £25 vial holds 5 mg and the £40 vial holds 10 mg, the second is 20% cheaper per milligram — you are buying twice the material for 60% more money.

Comparing per-mg cost also makes suppliers directly comparable, because vial sizes differ between them. It is the only figure that does not move when someone repackages the same peptide.

What the price does not tell you

Cost per mg only means something when the material is what the label says. A cheaper vial at 80% purity is not cheaper — you are paying for 20% filler, and any result you get from it is unreliable.
